What to Expect
Meeting New People

You will be welcomed to a family home by casually dressed people wearing a smile and carrying no judgment. There will be food and conversation aimed at getting to know one another's stories at your comfort level. Next a quick clean-up together (helping out our hosts) and then an ice-breaker activity.

Next, we will read scripture, hear about its background and usual meaning. We share insights about the passage and its real world application. We allow the scripture to challenge our understanding of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit as well as the way we live each day.

Prayer requests & wrap it up. The meetings last about two hours, including dinner.

You can expect a follow-up from your host and/or group leader during the week to see how you are, particularly if you asked for prayer.
